... and on into September! Tomorrow we leave for our first visit back to Minnesota since we moved to NOLA last June. So, I thought I'd better jot down the rest of what's been happening before that event steals the spotlight. So. Excited.



The past two-and-a-half weeks have seen many an event.

We've had another Children's Museum trip.

I had a birthday, and this sass happened:

We half-attended a marriage retreat at beautiful St. Joseph's Abbey in Covington; we were one of three presenting couples! But we only took one photo the whole weekend ... of the children napping.

Mom and Dad celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Fredericksburg.

We hit the Quarter for some great music at Maison on Frenchmen.

Finally, we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary with a (minor league baseball) Zephyrs game, after which the kids got to run the bases!

Then there's this girl, trying to fill her brother's shoes and generally being cute:

And this guy, full of imagination and busy as can be, running to our last swim class and waiting, energetically, for our last kids yoga class.





















Both best of friends and most annoying of playmates; wouldn't be the same without the other!
